Have a good long weekend everyone and lets hope our case officers don't eat too many easter eggs and get lazy and that we all get our visas soon after the break!!!

hi, how's your visa?

I had a word with my C/O today and she told me that she would pass my document for health waiver once she received my last penal clearance from Singapore

and god knows when they will make a decision

Hi, they asked me to get a report from a specialist, also they asked for updated police checks and medicals for my wife and daughter. My CO sent my specialist report to the medical officer last week and she said it will probably take a week or two for them to make a decision. So I think I'll have a decision about my visa in the first week in May. I'm hoping they say that everything's OK, why would they need updated police checks and medicals from my wife and daughter if I'm going to fail the medical???

Good luck with yours, the waiting part is soooo bad but it will all be over one day and then we can forget about it forever!!!

Help is needed! Please!

My hubby submitted the visa application form on Wednesday to the Perth Office from our end after the Au company told us to send it even tho we have not got nomination approval yet. Since then he has had his visa card stolen (bank holiday weekend!) which we had obviously put down on the form. The visa card company have told us not to worry, to ring up the Perth office and let them know it has been stolen and thus had to be cancelled through no fault of our own. This all sounds easy but I read on the visa form that if the form shows an invalid visa card number then the visa application is automatically invalid. Plus we don't have a ref number or anything so....how will they alter the application? Please help. Any advice? After getting this far, we would be heartbroken if it is declined because some "arse" stole our card.

.... not to worry spongebob.. ring them fist thing on wednesday to let them know of what had happened, just quote the applicants name and passport number, atleast they know that you informed them immediately on the next working day. I do not see any problem on this. You will be greatly alright. For the meantime, enjoy your easter break.

Hi we have applied for a 121 visa and was wondering about those of you who are waiting for a 121 along with us, or even those that have recently got their 121 what their job was that they were applying under, so people can gauge waiting times.

My hubby is an Electronic Engineer. The company sent their nomination 10th March 2011. We sent our application in on 20th April 2011. Now just...................the waiting

Job start date is/was/hopefully/maybe the 27th June 2011.

Sorry if this appears to be a silly question BUT when you get PR "who" do you have to notify besides the obvious............. Schools, Medicare etc

Good luck to all those who are waiting still.............you are in my thoughts, it's tough but hang in there

Hi guys, I got a call from my CO today saying that the medical people have approved me for PR which is great news. I have met all other criteria so I will be getting my visa. I have to pay the 2nd installment for my wife which I sent in the mail today to the Sydney office who will then send it on to Parramatta. Hopefully my CO will get that money when she is next working on Monday and I will get my visa granted on the same day.

The only thing that can delay my visa grant is if my wife gives birth before next week then we will have to wait for the baby to get a passport and medical done. She's not due til the 19th so I'm hoping she won't be early and we can get PR next week.

I'll keep you posted.

I dont post much on here but have used this site alot through my visa application process.

I applied for an 856 Employer Nomination Scheme visa on 11th Feb 2011. Both the nomination and the application were put in at the same time in person at the Melbourne immigration office.

Upon application i received any email stating that it would take between 5-7 months for a decision to be made however on Friday 29th April i received a phone call & email from Immi confirming that my visa has been granted.

I was very surprised that it only took around 2 & 1/2 months but also very pleased

Any idea which month is the Paramatta office processing currently?

Non Drc cases.

No idea mate. Last time I rang them was in January and they said they were allocating Mid October / Early November application then. With my calculation they might be allocating Early/Mid January application this time. You might have to ring them on 131 881 to get a correct information.

I applied on 10th of Feb 2011 and still waiting to hear something back from DIAC. Hopefully they will grant my visa soon. I am sick of playing this waiting game.

Cheers,

Ashish

It's been a tough journey especially after I was told I failed the medical but it's finally over, I feel so relieved.

Thank you to everyone who has had kind words of support, too many to mention and who have listened to me complain.

Congratulations, we got ours today aswell. We applied Sept 2010, we could have had it a month ago but I was out of the country visiting family in UK, so they had to wait until I was back in Oz before they made a decision.
