Hi I have lived in Austrailia for 7 years now. I am 31 and Married with one child (2 and a half).

I have struggled to meet people since i have been here and from being a very social person in England i now feel like a hermit. I would like to meet up with some people from England just to try and get a social life again (for me and for the Baby).

There is nothing worse than having nobody to watch the England games with, especially if we win it.

I am in Endeavour Hills VIC.

Cheers

Gareth

I would love nothing more than meeting up with a fellow Englishman to watch the games, its a shame we are in different states.

I understand how you feel, my wife and I love living in Sydney and are expecting our first child in July, but it is hard to meet new people.

Back in Brighton, we have lots of friends who we used to arranged things with at weekends etc, but since being here our weekends our generally free.

Anyway, i hope you get to enjoy the world cup. Lets hope England can do it this time.

Hi, I'm always up for having a beer, talking rubbish, watching a game etc. usual bloke rubbish I think you get a bit fixated on family coming out here all this way to the detriment of a social group, especially if you don't work with people you'd socialise with.

My boys 5, so a bit older but anyway I'm in watsonia but thinking of moving down your way.

That is a bloody shame mate, Brighton is such a small place we would surely know the same people, maybe even each other.

Anyway, I hope you end up meeting a load of people and enjoy the games.

I am currently trying to arrange to meet people at Darling Harbour to watch the games.
