I worked as a teacher in the U.K but have just got a part-time job in a pub to meet people. Mark is an engineer and will be working away- 3 weeks on and 1 week off starting next week... so I need a social life! I am desperatly lonely and feeling really isolated, especialy as i dont have children so finding less opertunities to meet other people. Am living in Hillarys with my girlf who is Australian and am driving her nuts and she feels guilty me not having made any "going out with" friends Any tips? We are also childless, my husband is working at the moment, and I am still waiting for my podiatry registration to come through. So the chance of meeting friends is slim at the moment. I just moved here in September and, having now got a house and a car and various other boring parts of getting settled, I'm now looking to see what Australia has to offer - in particular on the socialising front!
