So far we like it here a lot, specially the weather, beaches and all the outdoor stuff we can do. The only problem is that things are a bit quiet here and we don’t know anyone here yet! (except of course the people at work if that counts...) We both are professional guys in the early 40’s, and we like doing the usual stuff - short trips, going out for drinks and dinner, cinema, theatre, shopping, having friends around for dinner and go to the beach on weekends. Despite the fact that we love the beach, we decided to rent an apartment near the city to be near everything and to make commute to work easier (it was a pain in London...) I think it was the right thing to do as at any time we can just walk to our local pub and not feel too isolated... Still, we are just a 15 min drive from City beach! Guest Posted November 9, 2010 Share Posted November 9, 2010 Are you sporty? there seems to be a lot of guys socialising round sports events...... esp kayaking, triathlon, surfing obviously but also tennis is pretty sociable, lots of barbies at tennis courts and beers after. Have you tried the sunday sessions at the pubs in cottesloe.... good way to meet people and also Freo pretty lively place too at night.
