Guest fran Posted February 15, 2011 Share Posted February 15, 2011 Hello everyone, I moved to Melbourne from London 3 years ago with my husband. We live in Hawthorn and have a one year old daughter, who was born here. We originally came out for 2 years as a bit of an adventure but it keeps getting extended (and everyone back home tells us that now is not a good time to return)! Looks like we'll be here for another couple of years. I'd love to meet some new people. I'm at work 3 days a week and at home the rest of the time. So I am happy to meet up with small children during the day (Hawthorn/Richmond/Abbotsford or CBD would suit me), or maybe drinks after work in the CBD. Or - perhaps this sounds a bit ambitious but does anyone fancy the idea of a Melbourne CBD bookgroup? I used to be part of one in London with friends and it was fun. Really just an excuse to meet up every few weeks and have a glass of wine or two and a chat. Anyway I look forward to hearing from you.
