Hi there, my name is Vanessa. We have two boys, 3 and 5 months. We've just moved to Terrigal and don't know a soul! We moved to Australia a couple of years ago, have had several moves but this is our last hopefully. Really enjoying the Central Coast, but would love to meet other families around the Terrigal area. Are there any mums out there with a toddler and a bub who would like to meet up?

Hi Vanessa, I'm Fiona, I have a 4 year old boy we're currently living in Avoca, been here for just over 4 months and loving it. My son is at Pre school in Terrigal, he goes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, give me a shout if you want to meet up for a coffee and a chat.

Hi Vanessa: My girls are older now, 10 and 12 but I found the Terrigal Uniting Church on Terrigal Drive had the absolute best playgroups and they saved my life when I moved here when my kids were the same age as yours. It was really wonderful for finding other mums and spending a couple of hours a week entertaining the kids for free. The moderator was a lady called Kathy - I went on a Wednesday morning. Its not a religious forum, just other mums needing a boost and some support and a place to interract. The church is on Terrigal Drive between Duffys Oval and Serpentine Road. If you called the church and asked for Kathy at the playgroup they would give you her number and point you in the right direction. I work fulltime now but feel free to call me if you want a chat any time - I remember how awful it was when I first moved here! I was desperate for a friendly face. My office no is 4385 1000 - ask for Carol and I will happily do what I can. Good luck!

I hope you don't mind me semi-hijacking this, I've been following threads on the central coast for a while now and have found it's very easy to lose track as people settle into their lives so hopefully this will help (and following from a previous post of mine), I have set up a facebook group (my first attempt at it so might be a bit rusty) as a way of gathering details of expats on the central coast that would be interested in socialising.

The group is called 'Central Coast Expats' so please join if you're on facebook. If you have trouble then let me know but it will only work if as many people as possible join.

(I'm going to be posting this in various threads about the central coast so you'll probably come across it again)
