benandkelly
Can anyone tell me what the following means please Upon commencement, the Employee shall be entitled to a rate of pay of $35.00 per hour. This includes the following allowances • All Purpose Allowance • Special Allowance – Expense related • Special Allowance – Work related • Travel and Expenses Does this mean the above allowances are built in to my hourly rate? Guest Jadeanna
To me I read it as this rate of pay will "include" as in additional!! You wouldn't be happy with all of your expenses coming out of your $35 an hour. There would have to be some cap on that. I mean how is that even messured? It comes to 1400$ per week (35X8hX5d) Annually you are clocking 67K. You are the best judge and compare against the cost of living in the city you are going to work and decide. Guest MM2Melb
Includes should definitely mean is inclusive of, so although you may sometimes be entitled to these allowances, the employer is offering a rate which takes account of a base hourly and the allowances to give an inclusive rate of $35 per hour. Details should be as calculated for by an earlier poster. You won't get any extra on those allowances!
