Hi all. My name is Sinead (26) from Northern Ireland and have lived in Perth with my boyfriend Noel (32) for just over a year. We live in Beldon, close to Ocean Reef. We have found it really hard to meet friends similar to our age to socialise with and have a good time. We are bothh really laid back and love doing the usual out door stuff and of course i love going out for coffee, shopping etc.

if there are anyone out there who would like to meet new friends get in touch

Hello Sinead, My son Andy and his girlfriend Holly have just been given their visa and are coming to Perth to work and live early next year, or sooner lol, depending on jobs...I am trying to get as much info on the actual process of settling in as possible, such as sorting out a place to stay etc. Can you offer any advice please? As you have already done this bit. Kind regards, Beth

Hi Beth

thats great to hear about your son and his girlfriend. are they coming over on a years holiday visa or hopefully for good? what jobs do they both do???

well there is so much to take in when you get here but you just need to not panic and be prepared before you come out. when we arrived here we had friends who lived in Joondalup which was fantastic because they knew all the places to look for jobs, where to get sorted out with cars, rental properties, medicare, bank accounts etc..... the list goes on.... WA is very laid back which means don't expect to get too much done in a rush! heehee

if you can think of anything in particular they need info or help on don't hesitate to message me and i can send u web sights etc
