Suggest that you read this: http://www.dpi.vic.gov.au/fisheries/pests-weeds-diseases/noxious-aquatic-species There are several areas that hold the reviled crap. Check out sweetwater fishing. Might I suggest that you look to fishing for yellowbelly and trout. Also, if you get a mate who has a tinny, get out on Port Phillip Bay and fish for snapper. Cheers, Bobj. It is illegal to put them back in the river. When i lived in Goondiwindi they have 4 or 5 competitions a year to see who can catch and kill the most carp.
