We are originally from Bury, Lancashire and moved to Sydney a year ago and now we are doing it all again! Although we haven't yet found anywhere to live we are looking at areas around north Brisbane and north lakes areas. If there is anyone who would like to meet for coffe/play dates in the day or up for a drink/Bbqs/socialising in the evenings would love to meet up. Albany Creek is another area we are interested in as when we came up a few weeks ago we liked it there I think it will just depend on what is available when we move up! I'm happy to travel to meet up with people wherever we do finally settle as it doesn't seem to take too long to get to different places around north Brisbane (compared to Sydney anyway!) Next is Saturday 27 July, 2pm til you have to go, Parkside Park/bbq area, Aurora Boulevard (behind Bounty Boulevard School), North Lakes. BYO everything: food, drinks, chairs. Free bbq on site. NL has some nice areas, but so have Murrumba Downs, Griffin and further afield - Albany Creek was mentioned above. I guess it depends where work will be and what kind of schools you're looking for. If you want to have a cuppa before you move north, I can drive down & meet you there. If you want to leave it until you're north of the river, that's ok.
